I guess I should look at a map--I've been spoiled by the apparent ease of Mapquest. Mapquest directions, from my part of Brooklyn, give really complex instructions involving the Holland Tunnel (shortest distance) or the Lincoln Tunnel (shortest time). The George Washington Bridge to Rt. 4v would be MUCH easier.
