That explanation is a far cry from the statement that "The reality is 
that for a company like Kodak there is no profitable
niche...anywhere."

Kodak operates in several niches. The now own Leaf - maker of medium 
format digital backs. They create software that links Graphic Artists 
to Printers. They make thermal digital heads for printing presses. They 
make printing plates. They make technology for printed circuit boards. 
There are a ton of other things I am most likely unaware of at present.
