Boys! Boys!
I know yours is smaller than his, but please don't swear about it.

Richard
First of all, it appears to be a 2.8 F 12/24, not an E.
And, WTF is wrong with that flash bracket screwed to the
side-plate? There was a commercially available
device similar to that one several years back. Nothing
sacred about drilling holes in a camera.
Anything is better than just screwing a bracket and flash
to the tripod socket and flimsy Rollei back.
My professional experience with Rolleis and flash goes
back to 1947. Can you beat that?
Its got a removable hood (not the latch in the photo) so
its not an E.
I don't like mutilating cameras but you are right about
the lack of a good way to mount a flash on a Rollei.
Remember the brackets used to fasten flash solenoids to
the front of Rolleiflex's? I have an Old Standard that has
the scars from one and a little tab fastened to the tripping
lever for the solenoid to fasten to.
Well, I remember photographing locomotives for Matthias
Baldwin, oh, wait, the saucer people said I shouldn't talk
about that...
