[rollei_list] Re: Im new, just got Rollei Magic 2

Kevin, the magic is different from the Rollei in certain respects but the
basics such as the lens and other aspects are similar. The automatic feature is
the difference but you need not use that since you have a II.

As far as a CLA Fleenor is a usual suggestion but for minor jobs I have used
Pual Ebel in Wisconsin , near Minneapolis. (715/778-4372) He is reasonable,
likes older cameras but it would cost about $75 plus shipping. He is an "old
timer", like I, and does not have a website. He CLA' ed 2 of my Rolleis and did
a good job. He also fix Perhaps you can find a source in TX that will do it.
By the looks and description of the camera it would seem that it is not worn
but needs a good CLA.

We look forward to the posting of your pictures.

regards, Roger

PS I fixed a 'Cord that was jammed by dripping some lighter fluid in the
openings where the levers came out and it worked but that is risky it may get
on the lens or in the blades.

Well I have given my first 120 roll off for development! I did a mix of Auto
images indoor and out and some manual settings (hoping I set it correctly)
Hopefully I will be able to post some of them up when I get them back. I am
learning alot about my camera from you guys, sounds like the Magic is alot more
diffrent from normal Rollei's than I thought.

Also, I am still playing with it but 1/30th speed and B seem to get jammed
open when I try to use them. I havent been able to find a place to do a CLA on
this camera, any suggestions? THANKS

  Kevin
