[rollei_list] Re: Identification of a Rollei TLR

According the official Rollei factory service manual, there were 3.5F and 2.8F
cameras without lightmeter (only prepared to receive a lightmeter) from 1966,
there were F cameras 220 film counter and no 220 film counter without
lightmeter according the same manual (catalog 3.5F 14000.99.1 04 and 05 for the
220 without lightmeter).

Anyway the camera in the photograph looks like an F with a removed lightmeter
because the F cameras without lightmeter from factory have the focusing knob
with the rotating film speed and film type reminder.

The camera serial number is very close regarding the first camera to use
Xenotar lenses, perhaps within the first batch there still were a few cameras
provided with the Planar lens Rollei had in stock, it happened for the 2.8F,
after to finish the contract with Carl Zeiss to provide the Planar 2.8/80 for
the TLR, there were some cameras provided with this lens that Rollei had in
stock while others cameras from the same batch were provided with the Xenotar
Schneider 2.8/80 lens.

About "Telos" mentioned by Martin, if my memory serves me good, Telos was a
very important Rollei representative in France.-
