[rollei_list] Re: Harrison and Harrison filters - an answer from H&H

I predict that you will detect no difference in the results. If there is a difference, I believe that it would not show up until you get up to at least 30"x30" prints. Or larger.

IMHO.

I use B+W glass, Lee resin, Hi-Tech resin, Tiffen glass, and a glass filter doped with a mixture of neodymium and praseodymium. I make large and very large prints, my largest from a 6x6 transparency is 50"x50" which used the doped glass filter. I've never seen any filter degradation, but, I am extremely careful about using filters since many of my filters are uncoated. I'm very cognizant about flare producing situations and do whatever is necessary to eliminate flare.

Great black box, hmmm - Well, I've ordered a B+W series 6 medium yellow #8
filter from B&H and when it comes in, I'll test it against H&H's medium
yellow #8 with the nomenclature on the glass. What's interesting is that
this B+W filter and size is about the same price I paid H&H. Will let you
all know results of the shoot out.
