Richard,

I'll send you a picture tomorrow - and tomorrow I'll give the filters a good
clean and see if the writing cleans off - it may be just to identify the
filter during production.  All the filters are banded at the edge and some
of the filter bands carry the type and size filter information.

   I am quite familiar with H&H, that's why I was surprized 
at this. If the filter adaptor genuinely covers the printing 
its OK but I am sure if you got a lens with the trade mark 
printed on the periphery of the glass you would think twice 
about it.
