[rollei_list] Good Night, and Good Luck, Rollei Sighting

I have the feeling that most of the list are interested in Rollei Sightings from the earlier days.

If you see the movie above, there are two, possibly three Rollei sightings in the opening scenes, a tribute dinner.

I wasn't prepared to take a mental snapshot but my general impression is that late models were shown in this movie which was set in the 1950's.

If anyone is interested, the first view is of someone holding a camera at waist level.

The second one is where someone turns away from the movie camera to the movie POV to take a picture of a group. I don't recall seeing a flash on that camera but the picture she takes is a flash shot. You don't see the camera when the picture is taken, just a flash on the subjects.

A Speed Graphic, probably a 4X5, is in the same opening sequence.

On a somewhat related subject, I remember the hearings, which are part of the movie's focus, vividly. I'm not politically astute but if anyone wants to comment or discuss the movie off-list I would be pleased to forward all comments to all who respond in any way.
