[rollei_list] Generating Electricity for Camping

With all the discussion about engines and generating electricity, I thought
I'd ask your advice. I'd like to go camping separated from civilization, say
in a canoe. But, I require the use of medical devices which require
electricity. One is a pneuma press to squeeze fluids out of me, and the other
is a
breathing apparatus to let me breathe while sleeping. A deep cycle 12 volt
battery with an inverter would probably suffice to provide the power, if I can
keep
it charged. I've thought about photoelectric cells, but that doesn't seem
reliable enough to me. A gas or diesel generator might work, but weight would
certainly be an issue. A German company has recently put a fuel cell
technology
on the market at a ridiculous price ($5,000 US) for a person like me. So,
how would you solve this problem? Thanks.
