Hi Jerry -

I can find no reference to a Douglas-built Caravelle, which was a SUD
aircraft and to my knowledge was not built under license by any other
manufacturer. The DC-9 was Douglas' response to the 727 and the
Caravelle, and as you have said a highly successful and long-lived
design it was...
