Actually, the EXA II (and 500) series do have a cloth focal plane, running 
bottom to top. The EXA I series is the one with the metal sector (aka 
guillotine) shutter which uses the camera mirror as part of the mechanism.

I believe you're right. Doesn't it use the mirror box mechanism as 
the shutter? Hence the available low shutter speeds.
