Richard,
The shutter acts in the same manner without the strobe. When in the X
position, the shutter remains open when depressing the shutter release. It
works fine in the M position. It appears that I may have an issue, which is
disappointing. I was hoping to use this camera on the cruise I'm going on
the first of next month.

Roger,
I may have miss stated my model. All I am doing is connecting a sync
cable between my flash and the camera. I re-verified my serial number and
it points to a Automat Rolleiflex Model 4, Rolleiflex MX (type 1), or a
Rolleiflex 3,5 A depending on the source you reference.
