Hi,

It seems to me Prochnow was talking about TLRs. Hasselblad didn't make a
TLR.

And to Marc's "point", the quote clearly states "late fifties". And, as you
of course know, the 500C was out in 1957, which would mean it was out
throughout "late fifties". It's hard to ignore that the release of the 500C
coincides with the decline of Rolleiflex sales. It's hard to believe it
made no contribution to the decline of Rolleiflex sales. Even though it was
a high end medium format camera that used the "same" lense as the high end
Rollei TLR, and the same film format. I'd say that Hasselblad helped
decline the high end Rollei TLR sales, and the Japanese "copies" helped
decline the lower end Rollei TLR sales. When I think Rollei, at least in
that ear, I think in terms of the Planar/Xenotar 2.8 Rolleis. But, of
course, there are the Rolleicords, and the 3.5 etc. I would agree,
Hasselblad had little impact on those cameras.

Regards,

Austin
