[rollei_list] Re: : Camera show decline

I'm forced to snipe since my at-work server does not allow connections to
e-bay. About half the time I succeed and the other times I am not successful
because I cannot make any last minute adjustments to my snipe bid if the
bidding goes ever higher than my snipe bid value. I have my snipe software set
to 4 seconds before the closing (I originally had it set to 7 seconds and I
lost auctions in the last few seconds).

My last auction win was for a camera.and I bid for $55.53 more than the sellers
start price. I was amazed that I won with a $0.53 margin. It seemed that the
last person bidding put in a bid for $55.00 more just a few minutes before the
end of the auction. I did not find that I had won until I got home and checked
the computer.

At
a
show,
I
actually
have
a
chance
to
buy
the
item.
I
have
NEVER
been
successful
on
Ebay

always
falling
to
some
%$#@@
sniper
who
bids
me
up
$.25,
one
minute

closing.
If
I
need
something,
Ebay
is
too
chancy.
It
goes
to
the
%$#@
who
have
the
sniping
software.
Real
people
don't
have
the
time
to
futz
around
all
day.

That's
my
experience
