With all due respect, you know two more than I. The other issue is indeed
AF, while the DMR may be a great way to ensure a future for someone's
investiment in a very expensive manual focus camera, many photographers who
want the latest DSLR, typically look elsewhere.

I personally have absolutely no use for autofocus. But, I can see
where autofocus might have a few uses. Those with incredibly poor
eyesight could benefit. Photojournalists who are in the thick of a
melee could also benefit. That probably sums it up! Oh yeah... point
& shoot happy-snap cameras.
