Neil,
The article dealt with primary cameras used by pros. I have yet to meet a
pro who is using this back, let alone a manual focus Leica R. When writing,
you need to know the audience. The audience of this mag are primarily Nikon,
Canon, and Fuji S DSLR users. So it is geared towards those readers. Had I
written for a publication where the primary readers are Leica users, I would
have included it. ;-)

How did you reach this conclusion? The DMR converts the Leica R8 & 9 to a
digital SLR in the same way that a digital back converts a Rollei 6008 to
a DSLR. What is the difference between that and a dedicated digital body,
except that the dedicated digital body can't be converted to use with
film? The DMR is simply another system component, the SLR to which it is
attached is digital. ;-)

Neil
