the reason it worked when I advanced the film slowly -no paper/
film slipping- and it does not work if I advanced the film quickly,
film and paper slipped a bit or very much around the spool causing
an abnormal film advance.
I had the same problem the other day. Only I had a little more time
to fix it than you did. I put the camera in the light safe box and re-
spooled the film and started over. It's been happening more often -
since I switched from Ilford films to some cheaper alternatives, and
so now I have a mix of spare spools to work with - and your
explanation makes perfect sense. Thank you very much for bringing
this up!
