I recently had my original Rollei 35 repaired. To repair the advance (Singapore model so plastic gears?) and replace a faulty meter cost me around $150. If the repair is that cheap in Japan, I'm guessing it's even more reasonable overseas. I believe my new meter is higher quality than the original, but don't quote me on that.
