You are right Richard, the 3.5F has a Compur _MXV_CR00 shutter, where "V" is
for "Vorlaufwerk", Vorlaufwerk is the mechanism integrated to the shutter to
delay the shutter release, Vorlaufwerk is the technical term for this watch
mechanism; "Selbstauslöser" is a more general term to indicate a camera with
self-timer, it could be or not to be integrated to the shutter; and then when
you read in Prochnow "MXV" shutter it means a shutter with integrated
self-timer. The 2.8C was the first Rolleiflex with MXV shutter (Synchro Compur
MXV/CR0).
The 3.5F has an internal rod connecting the "V" and M-X lever with the shutter
(i'm not sure if directly or via the shutter cocking ring), this rod has
nothing to do with the film transport mechanism as you wrote.
That broken cocking lever shown by Raid is very difficult to break, something
very abnormal happened to produce this effect.
