In reference to: That's fine, wonderful, etc. but now we need to make it =
"music".=20
I've slugged through Bach, and I always know when I "get" the music or am =
just pushing the right notes at the right time. When you make it music, it =
is, at least for me, a lot easier to play.
On the other side of the fence, when theatre organists play classical =
music and then don't get the note time values right it drives me up the =
wall. It's like they make it music, but not quite as written. I've got a =
recording of George Wright with "Jupiter" from the Planets. Not only is =
the timing off, the notes credit to "Mahler" instead of "Holst". Well, at =
least they are both Gustavs.
Now you all know one of my pet peeves!
