[rodgersorgan] When the pipe tuners come to call...

As we move from analog organs to digital organs with pipes, some things have
changed. Analog would be tuned as perfectly as possible and the pipes tuned to
them. With the PDI and Trillium Organs it is a different ballgame. The wonder
of these organs is that subtle tuning fluctuations and adjustments are in the
organ things that are part of
the diversity of the sound of a pipe organ.
This eliminated for many the use of the tuning knob to match the tuning of the
pipes.
But it also raises an issue when the pipe tuners come to town. If they are not
familiar and sympathetic to the advancements in digital organ design,
especially the many enhancements present in Rodgers' proprietary software, you
may get a call.
"That new organ's out of tune. How do you expect us to tune the pipes to it if
it's not in tune." To answer them, just tell them to tune the pipes to a=440
and all will be fine.
