[rodgersorgan] Weddings

    I am reminded of a wedding I did twelve years ago...one not to be 
forgotten!  The bride and groom were not members of our church, and probably 
had not even  been to a church.  They used the chapel for the wedding.  I 
arrived early, as usual, to find the chapel decorated in HOT pink and BLACK!!  
Finding that very  interesting and tacky, I went to check out the fellowship 
hall to see what was in store there.   On  the reception tables were BOWLS of 
Red Hot candies and buckets of KFC!  They had gotten a fern stand in the church 
and placed a Sunday School record player on it.  The neighbors said they people 
stayed until after midnight playing records and dancing! I guess they were 
eating Red Hots and chicken too!  They paid the church for the wedding (my fee, 
the pastor, rental on the chapel & fellowship hall and the janitor with a Visa 
check.  The next week the check bounced and the couple was never found!
