[rodgersorgan] Re: UN-sympathetic vibrations

A couple of different widths of the black foam-like stuff from Loew's or other
hardware chain, the stuff with adhesive on it....you cut it with scissors (it
comes rolled in long thin strips) and it is self-stick... you don't need to line
the entire door way in case of doors....just determine the best place to dampen
the vibration.

Speaking of vibrations, I am listening to Elijah and began to hear a low
rumble...was it on the CD...no....was it the sound of a helicopter transmitting
itself down the metal wood stove chimney three feet from me...no...

During a particularly loud section (yes, that's right....Ellen is at church
practicing, so I can play it LOUD) I had placed by full coffee cup on the lower
f#g#a# of the Roland/Rodgers Harpsichord that is my computer desk...with the
Gedeckt 8' on....

I have noticed a lot of loud humming PA sound systems in churches lately. If
you
get blamed for sound problems, always make sure that the sound system is shut
off
in case it is the culprit. We are blessed with a sound tech in this area of
Tennessee, John Taylor, who never blames the organ...Thank you, John.
