[rodgersorgan] Trillium Book...and others...recommendations.

Now that you have asked,

We suggest the following books for the basic library for the Rodgers Organist:

1. The Rodgers Owners Manual for the instrument you are playing
2. The Frog Music Press GUIDE TO PLAYING THE... for that instrument. Now 
available: Trillium, PDI and Insignia Series books.  More to come. These books 
have about 24 Topics, each topic has a music example to go with it.  Some 
existing organ music, some composed for the book.  May I recommend the triptych 
of WEXFORD, KINGSFOLD and O WALY WALY that I arranged, which are now coming out 
for Cello and Piano as well? Lauren Gadd has done some first-rate composing for 
these books as well.

        Which one are you playing? The most recent organs, the Trilliums, are 
easy to 
identify, as they display a Trillium flower in the display window on boot up.

        The PDI's are earlier, have a display window, but no flower. The 
Insignias will 
show their name in the window when booting.

        You may also look under the keybed (lie on your back on the floor, head 
on the 
bass end of the pedalboard to do this) and read the model number.  There is a 
simple page with model numbers to match on you home page that tells you which 
organ you have based on the three digit model number.

        Note:  The current Rodgers 527 uses the soon-to be released Global 
series book 
along with all 520, 530, 525, and 535's.

3. If you are going to use MIDI, we recommend PLAYING MIDI LIVE from the Frog 
as 
well. Lot's of music to play on the organ using MIDI. You will need a MIDI 
Voice 
Module to use this book. The PR-300 and SC8820 are good choices,

4. If you are going to use the PR-300, have the owner's manual on your shelf 
and:
5. USING THE RODGERS PR-300 from the Frog.  This book is less expensive, for it 
contains no music, only text.
