[rodgersorganusers] Re: Tell us about your favorite Christmas Music

For me, I always must play the Dupré "In Dulci Jubilo" from the 79
chorales -
it is one of my favorite pieces...

otherwise, I have a fine recording from King's College that has a couple of
WONderful pieces - "Once in Royal David's City" and "Of the Father's Love"
Either or both of those can dissolve me into a puddle - especially on the
last
verse of "Once..." when the Willcocks version cuts in with the descant...
gets me
every time....

As for something we're doing this year, I've written string parts for the
Luboff
arrangement of "Still, Still, Still"....  I'll be lucky to conduct it with
dry eyes this
Sunday on our annual Christmas concert and worship celebration
