List... On visiting my Rodgers 340 Theatre organ at the refinishers, I've
noticed that some of the white stop tabs are very slightly discolored in a
yellow-ish shade. I only really noticed when I had one of the stop tabs
depressed and then looking at the neck of the tab part which is covered by
the stop-rail, I could see that part was a very bright pearly white color .
I believe this discoloration came about from the organ being in direct
sunlight thru the window at the theatre in which it came out of. The
sellermentioned this to me regarding the finish (that's why its at the
refinishers instead of my living room!), but didn't say anything about the
stop tabs. And to be honest, they're not that bad looking. One can
onlytell how much they've discolored by seeing the color of the stop tab at
its very base. I tried to use some detergent and a cloth but it seemed
like the yellowish color was "baked" on. No luck here. Can anyone shed
some light on how to remove this and what substance might work best here.
I've heard that changing the stop tabs on the Rodgers 340 Theatre Organ is
very difficult so that's not much of an option at this point.... Thanks
ahead of time. Patrick Lane Rodgers 340 Custom Theatre
