Noel:

I have several pieces of non-Rodgers equipment interfaced with our Trillium
927.

1. Allen MDS Expander II
2. Compaq computer with Cakewalk, MIDI-OX, and other software, and
M-Audio Audiosport Duo digital audio recording interface from microphones
or line input.
3. Kurzweil K2600RS
4. Yamaha Clavinova digital piano.

All devices interface to our Rodgers with no interfacing problems. I use
either the Kurzweil
or Cakewalk to record/play MIDI files, the Audiosport Duo to play Wav/CD-audio
and to make audio recordings into the hard drive on the Compaq..
There is a SoundBlaster card in the Compaq, but the Audiosport is a much
better audio
quality interface.

We just bought the Audiosport Duo and two AT4041 microphones so we could make
good quality audio recordings to then transcribe to CD-ROMs. We are
learning by
experimenting where one should place the microphones for best recording
quality and balance. When we figure that out, we will report to the group.
In the meantime, anyone have any tips re microphone placement, recording
techniques, etc.?

As an aside,The Dickinson Theatre Organ concerts are recorded with two
microphones and the CD's that the Dickinson Society produces from the
concerts are of very good quality.
So two microphones, correctly placed can result in good recordings.
