[rodgersorganusers] Re: Pricing

As a Rodgers rep for over thirty years and also Rodgers dealership owner at=
one time, I would never publish prices for equipment on the net or elsewhe=
re. The exceptions are when we have something that is being offered after b=
eing used as a demo unit for a period of time -- and even that is RARE.

With regard to modules - if any of you think that we just sell one, take o=
ut money and go home, that is not my experience. I sell them, I show them =
how to use it, and I go to the church numerous times again to help them use=
it. I sold one not long ago to a church over 50 miles from my store - two =
trips have already been made and will probably see more. I made a FAIR PRO=
FIT - that is why I can service the customer when it is needed.

This is not at all like the auto business where at the end of every year th=
e dealer gets a rebate check on every car sold.......

Unfortunately, there are far more things than go into the overhead of a qua=
lity dealership than most of you folks realize. Most of us service a fairl=
y wide territory which means travel, long distance, motels, etc.....

The Costco and Sam's Club models don't work in the church/classic organ bus=
iness.

Over the years I have personally seen several dealerships which thought the=
y could sell numbers on low margins. Guess where they all are - GONE, BANKR=
UPT!
And it is you the customer who pays in the long run,

Once saw a wonderful saying in a quality store - "Long after the sweet arom=
a of a low price and poor quality is gone, the stench of poor service and q=
uality lives on for years and years"

The Rodgers dealers that I know are good people, want to help, but must make=
a honest profit.....to be able to continually be of help and service.
