William, You make a good point as well. But as a home organ user (with no external speakers, etc.) I would like to be able to know a base price even in a range. I don't like the car buying process but I do it -- with a little web research first -- not to screw the dealer -- but to give me some sort of feel for whether I can trust him. If he tells me he pay X from the factory and I know he pays Y, I know he's lying (assuming Y is less than X). I know I will not pay Y, but I like to know what Y is. Could Rodgers give a price for the organ along with a statement that says something like "installation costs will vary from church to church due to additional labor costs and possible additional equipment needed for each individual installation"? Also, I want us to remember that this thread is (was) talking about an MX-200. How much markup can be needed to cover installation? (and someone mentioned service calls which I think is fair to be included in the markup). I don't think anybody is asking for Rodgers to list wholesale costs, but for equipment like the MX-200 or the PR-300, couldn't they list wholesale + 20% or whatever they agree with thier dealers is a fair markup?
