Amplifying my previous message, while I can hear in my brain, melodies, chords, etc and can read music, sight reading is quite hard for me. That was the hardest part for me on the AGO test. Playing "pop" music from a fake book, is I think, part reading the melody line, part reading the chord symbols, and part "hearing in my brain" what the chord sounds like before I play it. Comments?
