Hi, Allen,
We lost one on the sliding drawer that Rodgers sells. The thief was smart
enough to know that you push up and slide out. He was able to do this because
the screws weren't super tight against the console.
Then we got smarter, or so we thought. We bought a locking drawer from a
Rodgers dealer. Sure looked nice. It had a little pull out tray similar to
the original one. The thief left us the drawer this time, but simply pulled
the lock enough so that the drawer face could be pulled down. Then he took the
PR-300S. Maybe another type of lock would have worked better; I don't know.
This one was a skeleton key. When I got to the church, you could see that the
lock mechanism was in the locked position.
Now we keep the gadget in the priest's sacristy and I pull it down when I need
to use it. It hardly ever gets used, unfortunately, because of the work
involved.
Thanks for your interest.

George is this in your residence or church? Do you have the PR-300Ss mounted
in a drawer under the console? If not, it's well worth the expense and
effort to do so -- that makes it a bit more difficult for thieves to snatch
them.
If the drawer doesn't help then I'd suggest unhooking it whenever it's not in
use and keeping it behind lock and key.
