[rodgersorgan] PR-300 Expression

When producing a MIDI file for the PR-300, I decided to modify the
expression using Cakewalk, and it worked fine. However, when I played
it back on the organ Cakewalk wrote expression for all the channels, so
the solo organ part would change expression with the orchestration...and
if i moved the expression pedal it would override that change until the
next change...so I had to take the file and redo it in Cakewalk,
removing expression from CH 11-16...

Also, it has been suggested by group member Russell Michael, whose
father is a long-time Rodgers tech and supporter, that the best way to
start a midi recording when multi-tracking, that is recording from start
to finish using on the PR-300, is to engage the PR-300 and after the
intitial countdown of two measures, spend a measure wisely by depressing
and undepressing (?) the expression pedals leaving them in the starting
position and then pushing a piston. This gets all this information
contained within the first measure. Hitting RESET on the PR-300 or
playing a new piece the guarantees that the organ will reset the volume
level and the initial stop and MIDI settings during the measure.

Experiences to relate, anyone?
