I have a Rodgers (I think it's an Essex 640) that I picked up two or three 
years ago for $5K from the original owner. I had to find something with 
self-contained speakers due to lack of space in my apt. It has performed well 
and meets my needs for a practice instrument. The built-in reverb is pretty 
good, too. The spec has enough variety that I don't get totally bored with 
it. In fact, sometimes I go out to sub at churches and wish they had my 
machine rather than whatever is in the church, even sometimes with pipe 
organs. The console is solid and it has a nice action. For that kind of 
budget, I think it was a very good solution for me. I would certainly 
recommend it to someone looking for a decent home organ on a budget.
