My home practise instrument for the past 15 odd years is and was a twenty
year old Lowery theatre organ.
At the time, it was the only instrument available to me at what I could
afford. So I bought it and it has been wonderful to me.
Recently I purchase a Rodgers thirty-two b?c? whatever...anyway it has tabs
rather than pull knobs and it too is an analog instrument. I love it!
Every week, now, when I go to church, I pray that something else will go
wrong with that wretched half animal, half vegetable, half digital, half
analog, and all garbage instrument will mess up somemore. It already has
sticky key problems, is slightly out of tune,(but according to the service
guy, cannot be tuned unless the whole instrument has slipped, which it
hasn't) and now it has a volume control problem.
Each little problem it has, I remind the music committe that "based on it's
age" blah-blah blah!
C'mon prayers!!
We need a new Rodgers AND some antiphonal speakers!
