Rodgers now constructs much better consoles than they did in
past years. Allen and Rodgers make good hand crafted
furniture. Some European makers have not chosen to do that.
My organ is made of solid alder wood. My wife had earlier
decided to banish the organ to the basement, but has changed
her mind based on the quality of furniture and wood.
Good luck in your search.

Rick-
Thanks for listing your Rodgers vs. Allen reasons. I own a
25-year-old
Allen which we use at church. I hope that the church will
be
purchasing a new organ within the next 5 years. I have felt
for some
time that Allen constructs a better console but Rodgers
sounds and
capabilities frequently beat the Allen. It will get very
interesting
as we begin researching them in earnest.
