Your comment about consoles makes me chuckle, because it is heard all the 
time...and it is not something that Rodgers is saying.

Diverting attention from sound is one way of getting the sale of an organ 
pushed 
in one way or another.  Show me a Rodgers Organ that could no longer be played 
due to failure of the console to serve as a console...

Consoles which are put on display after they have been hit by a loader and 
smashed apart are a particularly onerous way of selling.  OF course if your 
choir has a mosh pit and people are jumping off the altar platform to be borne 
away on the finger tips of the crowd...you may really be in need of a console 
that will sustain a direct nuclear hit and survive.

Now next week we will find a new church on TV with our buddy Randall Smith of 
West Point, GA (an exalted list-member with a sense of humor) yelling HEAL! 
HEAL! while shoving the healee backwards off the altar platform onto the 
fingertips of the milling crowd of congregants...Go ahead Randall, but I want 
ot 
be your musical director...
