[rodgersorganusers] [Fwd: Guilty!]



Today, I played for a funeral at my church, which has a Rodgers 835 with
only 12 ranks of vintage 1930 Hinners pipework.  My entire 30 minute prelude
was all digital.

After the funeral I saw a distinguished-looking man come to the console and
start looking for the nameplate on the organ!  That says a LOT for Rodgers!
(yes, he was an organist.) Folks want to know what they are hearing. I
played one piece with acoustical guitar and organ.  A lady came up and
questioned how that was done.  Her reply?  "I sure am jealous of you!"   I
almost feel guilty they "think" it's pipes they are hearing!
