You can use a regular pc disk.
However, when you are recording and saving on the PR-300 you will find that most
commercially formatted disks will show up as a MASTER DISK CANNOT SAVE, but do
not
despair, HOLD SHIFT, hit DISK then scroll to FORMAT.
The file you have recorded will wait in memory for the format to be finished,
then
you can save it.
Reminder to all, do not try to mix SMF and Roland Native Format files on the
same
disk....one set will vanish, though they are still there and can be rescued on
a PC.
SAVE creates Roland Native Format, SAVE AS (in the PR-300S) creates SMF (.mid)
files.
