If the laptop has USB ports and you are using Windows 98SE or later you can
purchase a USB Midi interface. Avoid Windows NT as it has no support for
USB. Maybe vendors make a Midi interface that works with the parallel or
serial port. Then direct Cakewalk to use the Midi interface for input and
output. Echo will have to be turned off.
What speed is the laptop, how much memory does it have?

(maybe I did the wrong thing) it came without a manual.

the organ with midi conectivity (Rogers 525 and it has midi ports) - I
notice some ports (edge connectors I think they are) which are very small on
the right of the Laptop. I also have Cakewalk but on my PC I use it in
conjunction with my Keyboard and the Soundblaster card. There is no
Soundblaster or soundcard on the Laptop (that I am aware of) so I am not
sure about connectivity. If anyone could advice on cables - connectivity -
possibly programs if Cakewalk is not the answer. And anything else that can
be of help.
