[rodgersorgan] Computer Connectivity and the Rogers Organ

Dear all,

I have recently aquired a 2nd hand lap top computer, with the intention of
connecting the organ to it so as (initially) create files to listen to me
playing other that at the organ seat, so that I can walk around the church,
listen to volume, registrations etc.

At home I have a midi keyboard connected to my PC and am quite familiar with
what can be done back and forth. However being a 2nd hand lap top (maybe I did
the wrong thing) it came without a manual.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to make the Laptop work with the
organ with midi conectivity (Rogers 525 and it has midi ports) - I notice some
ports (edge connectors I think they are) which are very small on the right of
the Laptop. I also have Cakewalk but on my PC I use it in conjunction with my
Keyboard and the Soundblaster card. There is no Soundblaster or soundcard on
the Laptop (that I am aware of) so I am not sure about connectivity. If anyone
could advice on cables - connectivity - possibly programs if Cakewalk is not
the answer. And anything else that can be of help.

Thank you to all in anticipation, I am probably bound to have other questions

Best wishes to all
