When performing Handel's "For Unto Us A Child Is Born", which accompaniment do
most of you use? York or Novello edition? When we have the strings with us, I
do very little on the organ, and let them take most of it, but when I use organ
alone, I'm torn between the 2 different editions. While the Novello edition is
basically what Handel would have played from, the York edition is basically the
orchestral reduction, with all the harmonies, including the 16th note runs.
I'm interested in knowing which editions you all use.
