[rodgersorgan] 835 vs...

I keep forgetting to add a note or two about the 835 vs. new Rodgers...

Randall Smith (the guy that's starting that new church with the mosh pit) has a
lovely 835 and my wife plays one as well. They are great organs.

The Trillium is not a lot different except that it has more stops available,
due
to Voice Palette™ and built-in RSS...a sort of computer system that creates
depth in the sound as if the room had depth itself. It also adds reverberation
if needed.

Randall Smith's instrument does not need it in the room he is in...my wife's
church could use it for the organ and the choir...

I will say that it is rare today to find a church here in the United States
that
does not need some sort of RSS...though there is an installation in Chattanooga
(right across the from Mall with a Barnes and Noble Bookstore with a
Starbuck's
coffee in it...what more could you ask for) which had a great sound without the
RSS...but we found that it still solved some deficiencies in the low frequency
range...that you didn't hear until we added the RSS...and now works great.

The 835 was just a sort of PERFECT ORGAN, a nice stoplist, a very comfortable
console..fujt o play, so it gained many hearts.
