When our 1930 Hinners was re-wired over 10 years ago, a 32' Reusltant=0D
was derived from our 16' Bourdon. Talk about whummp! I use it on last
verses of the opening hymn with full organ. Mind you, we had TWELVE whol=
e
ranks!  LOL!=0D
=0D
With the addition of the Rodgers 835 to our sweet old Hinners, I got a 32=
'
digital, which is voiced soft. I must say I use the "real " 32' on hymns
more than the 32' soft digital. Sometimes there is music which can use a
soft 32'.=0D

Also, I LOVE to add the 16' Bassoon on the last verse of a hymn with a fu=
ll
swell coupled to the Great with a full Principal chorus. It gives a such=
 a
BOLD sound.=0D

If an organ has only one 32' flue stop, should it be soft or loud?=0D
=0D
If it is loud, you can only use it when the organ is already playing =0D
loudly, but if it is soft, you can use it all the time.=0D
=0D
A time honored effect is pulling a 32' just as the last chord is played, =
=0D
the resulting Whummmp! putting a period on the end of the sentence.=0D
