[rodgersorgan] Re: 32' Pedal

While you're selecting PR300(S) sounds and assigning them to SW, GT, or PED
MIDI pistons, and saving them to divisional or general pistons, don't forget
to adjust the Velocity setting, i.e., volume. It can be anywhere from
0-127. Default is 64. You may need it softer or louder than that. Some
time ago Noel Jones made my day when he was giving hints on getting a good
32' reed sound, and he advised cranking the Velocity to 100 or more, adding
"Warn the altar ladies! Stand back...way back!"

I'd also like to repeat a suggestion...some 32' reeds are useful for soft
endings as well as "clappers of doom" finales. When you get to the last
chord of a dreamy piece, play the bottom pedal note up an octave and sneak
in the 32' reed...with the right stop it's a wonderful soft trombone sound,
usually better than a 16' reed played at the bottom.
