I am pretty confident that Jack will not be on the lake bed tomorrow. He
has left the rocket business. I wish he were sill visiting us.
I believe that BAR and Discount Rocketry will both be there though BAR will
probably be on the other side of the highway.
Thanks,
Mike

Thank you Rich.
Madcow Rocketry sells this kind of swivel as well.
I probably have what I need. Maybe one more 1000 lb, and I can just add
to the order with the tube I’ll be ordering.
I tell you what I miss; having the opportunity of shopping in Jack’s
trailer on Friday night and chatting around the campfire about rockets. I
learned a lot about building and flying rockets from Jack.
Yeah, I know, those were the days…

Better yet, if these are the type of Swivel you want, send me (directly)
your snail mail address…
And the capacity you want (Actually, that probably by Dimension, these are
probably now in a plastic divided box… Not sure how I labeled it… and how
many (within reason)… If I have them, they will be really cheap… I wont
have the Ginormous sizes… But 1000# or 1500# capacity, maybe… Havent looked
in that specific tackle box for years…

Yeah, probably doesn’t need a lubricant. I took one, attached a line from
the swivel to a drill and spun it a bit under a little tension. Didn’t
seem to heat much. I would say, it’s probably more important to keep them
clean.

Given the environment (dirty) that you'll be using the swivel, I'd suggest
not using a fluid or semi-fluid lubricant. The swivels should work fine
without any lube, but you can use a dry lubricant such as graphite.

Swivels can be very important for recovery equipment. Spinning duringdescent can cause all sorts of problems from tangling to actual causing the

rockets tend to spin more and always wondered about that.
Jason at LOC Precision was kind enough to send me a photo of the 4
So, I’ve been doing a little research on swivels for my L3 project and
different sizes they carry. I added the ratings and also had a couple that

These swivels are very durable. I was wondering if I should use a
a great place to get tube of course. http://shop.locprecision.com/
I’ll be placing a small order with LOC Precision this afternoon. Also,
