You say flyable W.....I assume that since launching on Saturday is
scheduled to go until 5:45, the launch-ending early afternoon winds we get
at Lucerne are not so much of an issue at Holtville? Does the wind vary
much at all throughout the day?

single rail is 4 meters. We will also have a few pads with even longer
rails. One pad will have a 22' long 1515 rail.

Regarding parking, camping, and general range set-up:
1. The range will be set up with the 1000 foot line on the edge of the
far
(extreme east) taxiway. This gives anyone using the 1000 foot line an
opportunity to drive up to the pad on concrete for setup.
We will then set up the range working backwards from this point.
The launch table will be on the east side of the small connector taxiway
marked as the actual T.R.A.S.D. Launch site shown on Google Maps.
2. We are going to ask everyone who camps to park perpendicular from the
small connector taxiway. This includes parking the entire rig and
tow vehicle off pavement facing in a general East/West Orientation. We
are
also going to ask the scouts to park across the taxiway (west side) from
us and to park
all vehicles off the pavement. Day launchers will also be asked to park
in
the same manner, off the pavement for more room.
3. We are going to set up caution tape along the flight line in order
to keep entrance to the range at a central point where the Launch Control
Office (LCO) and Range Safety Officer (RSO) will be stationed.
This set-up should allow us to accommodate
more people with direct views of the range.
We will be reserving a central location on the west side of the pavement
for
vendors. This location will be central to the launch pad. We will ask the
vendors to set their generators up on the West Side of their vehicles in
order to facilitate less noise on the range.
Range setup help will be greatly appreciated on Friday AM.
Early long range weather forecast looks PERFECT at this point with
sunshine,
mid-70's and winds below 10MPH.
Schedule for the launch will be:
Friday March 3: 1:00 PM to 5:45 PM
Saturday March 4: 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM
Sunday March 5: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

I would suggest ordering AT reloads from Wildman West with a hold for
pickup, then see if you or another ROC member can arrange the pickup on the
way down.
Schedule for the launch will be as follows:

Saturday March 4: 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM
Sunday March 5: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Night launches will be TBD depending on interest. We don’t have a
waiver for the night launch, so class 1 rockets only.

Holtville Havoc at the TRASD launch site located at the closed Holtville
