Dear Hussain B.,
The "epidemic" of failed public/urban education is a topic that gets everyone
going. We point to the teachers, parents, the superintendent, the school
councils, the lack of role models, or the kids unwilling to learn as was
done "back in the day."
The problem may just be that - back in the day lessons. Is the classical public
education curriculum outdated in its essence? Ken Robinson thinks as much and
argues for models of learning that promote creativity & divergent thinking.
Let's dialogue on alternatives. If you have an opinion, here is your chance.
