Hello,
I have copied the source package for Recoll 1.11.0 to the web site today
(http://www.recoll.org/download.html#source)
This release has relatively extended internal changes, enabling a Python
programming interface and more flexibility with using fields. (See the
CHANGES file: http://www.recoll.org/CHANGES.txt).
The main changes visible to the user are:
- Controls on the main page to filter the result according to "category"
(text/spreadsheet/message/etc.)
- HTML display in preview when possible (when the source document is HTML,
or the filter produces HTML). This can be disabled in the preferences.
The internal restructuring has implied some index format changes, and the
release needs a full reindex. This is normally handled automatically, but,
for very big indexes, it may be better to manually delete the .recoll/xapiandb
directory before indexing.
I am reasonably confident about the reliability, but I am waiting a few
days before generating the binary packages anyway, so that only the source
is available at this time. It would be nice if a few brave souls would give
it a try and report any problem :)
Regards,
J.F. Dockes
