Mitchell,

Actually most TV's of today can do one or more of these. Our TV can do
Amazon on demand but it isn't accessible. The new technology is designed to
replace your cable or other similar set top box of the type that connects to
your TV to get regular and cable TV channels.

Thanks,
Jim

Well, the set-top boxes are used for streaming NetFlix, Amazon on Demand,
HuLu and videos stored on USB devices or network shares. Those are the
things I am curious about. Of course, if the TV does those things of its
own, then the set-top box would be superfluous. It's kind of a moot point
for me in any case.

Mitchell,

Though there isn't much info about the new Panasonic technology out there
yet I think it probably uses what is called clear cam. If that is the case
it doesn't require or use a set top box at all. As far as I know all of the
channels can be accessed by the TV itself. One thing I'm not sure of yet is
whether or not the local cable company has to support clear cam. There just
isn't much info yet I suppose.

Thanks,
Jim

Wonder if it will do the menus on the set-top boxes like the RokuBox and the
WD TV Hub.
Rotten timing: I just bought a new HD TV

Hi,
I really don't want to listen to the podcast yet, so I'm wondering if the
accessible TVs come in 42 inch, and Internet ready.

Well I agree with the two of you! Time to purchase a new TV and I plan on
grabbing up one of these puppies. Sears sells Panasonics and the new models
will be in within 2-3 weeks.
Later

I agree with you too Regg! I was very pleased with the interview. I
believe they are the one that so have the dvs or closed captioning on the
remotes as a button rather that having to access it through the menus.
