There are quite a few stations, probably 15 in this market, broadcasting in
HD, so that along with their standard broadcast, there are 1 or 2 extra
channels with alternative programming on an adjacent frequency.

The sound is fantastic, and basically, it greatly expands the number of
local stations and formats that you can receive.

Here's a web site where you can search for stations, radios, and also an
explanation of just what is HD radio.

Hope this helps.

Hi, all

I am asking this question from the perspective of one who has not seen or
heard hd radios. What makes them better than the stereo or the good old
getto blasters?
